Interiors: House in El Carmen

Share

Though we know better by now, sometimes when we think of a modern interior, we think of one devoid of color, full of monotone color palettes, barely any furnishings and a cold, stark aesthetic. Doesn’t sound very appealing, does it? It never really did to us, either, until we saw this house in El Carmen, Spain. Crisp clean walls somehow don’t seem sterile, and multiple tones of gray wrap the essential furnishings in the home. Furniture is without ornament, almost utilitarian and industrial. Even though there aren’t any art pieces in the place, some how you don’t miss it. There aren’t even a lot of textures in the space, yet it doesn’t seem boring. By Fran Silvestre Arquitectos.

What do you think…is this place boring? Or minimal, modern and perfect? Let us know!
