Inhotim Art Park Blossoms Inside a Brazilian Botanical Garden
A breathtaking art park is emerging in Brazil, as a brilliant addition to the country’s already blooming contemporary arts scene. Bernardo Paz, an entrepreneur from the mining industry, has put his dream into action, constructing an art lovers’ Disneyland around the Inhotim Cultural Institute in Brazil’s countryside. Covering the hills of a rural estate in the state of Minas Gerais, the art park began its life as a 3,000 acre ranch 20 years ago, with Paz then developing it into a botanical garden with landscape architect, Roberto Burle Marx.
